Kitchen & Bath Cabinetry and Renovation in Harwich, MA
Harwich is made up of seven villages, from the harbors of Harwich Port to the quiet shores of Pleasant Lake, and it's often credited as the birthplace of commercial cranberry growing. That variety shows in its homes: waterfront cottages, family houses, and year-round and seasonal homes side by side. Cedars & Birch Kitchens helps Harwich homeowners, builders, and contractors plan kitchen renovations and bathroom renovations with cabinetry that fits the house and the way you live.
We carry nine different cabinet lines, so there's an option for every budget and every kind of project, from ready-to-assemble (RTA) kitchens to fully custom and European-designed frameless cabinetry. We also supply vanities for bathroom renovations and wholesale cabinetry for builders and contractors working in Harwich. Questions? Read our frequently asked questions.
Seven Villages, Many Kinds of Kitchens
Harwich Port, Harwich Center, West Harwich, East Harwich, South Harwich, North Harwich, and Pleasant Lake each have their own feel, and so do their homes. A cottage near Wychmere Harbor calls for a different kitchen than a family home near Pleasant Lake. We start with the house and the people who live in it, then plan layout, storage, and cabinetry to fit.
Cottage Kitchens That Work Hard
Harwich's population grows sharply in summer, so many kitchens here are asked to feed a full house for a few months and sit quiet the rest of the year. Smart storage, deep drawers, durable finishes, and layouts that keep a small space from feeling crowded make a big difference. You'll get honest guidance on which of our nine lines fits your goals, timeline, and budget.

Design-Forward Options When You Want Them
If you're ready for a more polished, high-end look, our European-designed frameless cabinetry offers clean lines and modern function, and fully custom work is available for projects that need it. A new vanity can carry the same style into the bathroom, so the whole house feels connected.

Permits & Local Resources for Harwich Projects
Kitchen and bathroom renovations in Harwich may need building permits, especially when the work involves structural, electrical, or plumbing changes. Harwich is its own town, and its Building Department is at Town Hall, 732 Main Street. Permit applications are submitted online through the town's Community Development page. Helpful link:

If your home is within Harwich's local historic district, exterior changes go through the Historic District and Historical Commission, so ask before you start any project that touches the outside of the house. The state's Homeowner's Guide to Hiring a Home Improvement Contractor is also worth a read.
While we are not the permitting authority, Cedars & Birch Kitchens helps clients navigate the process by providing detailed cabinet plans and working alongside contractors throughout the project. If you're planning a kitchen renovation in Harwich and need help finding installers, contractors, or interior designers, we're happy to connect you with trusted professionals we've worked with.
